Orange Man Seriously Injured After Truck Crashes Into Car On Route 78: Njsp

A 27-year-old Orange man was seriously injured after a vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer on Route 78 on the morning of Friday, April 5, authorities said.

At 5:13 a.m. on Route 78 west in Newark, a Chevrolet passenger vehicle was stopped in the right lane due to a previous crash when it was truck by a Freightliner truck, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.

The passenger of the Chevrolet was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
